Dr. Barnajian has lectured at both national and international meetings and has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals including Colorectal Disease. Dr. Barnajian is also a medical peer reviewer for multiple prestigious colorectal journals, including Colorectal Disease and Techniques in Coloproctology. He is involved in a number of multi-center prospective studies, including ColoCare and CleanCision. Dr. Barnajian has also received numerous awards, including being named “Super Doctors Rising Star” by Los Angeles Magazine. Dr. Barnajian is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeon and the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery.

Dr. Barnajian earned his bachelor of arts degree at the University of California, Berkeley. His studies continued in Philadelphia where he attended Drexel University College of Medicine and earned his medical degree. He returned to Los Angeles and completed a general surgery residency program at the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. During his last year of training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, he served as the administrative chief resident. Following his residency, he spent a year in New York to complete a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Stony Brook University.
